Tracing Evidences on Punggol Beach

remember the last post when i talked about the punggol end beach that area ? ( scroll down to read below ) well due to extreme curiousity about that place , i actually did a research about that place.. yup it was true that there used to be a mass grave for massacres ( i may even be standing on one when i went there ) as i find it an interesting topic since i have nothing to post , therefore i will post this thing over here .. continue to read for more information.. about the past ..and the present... of that beach area..

Sixty years later as of today, it is difficult for anyone to find fresh evidence about the massacre. The official estimate said merely thousands were killed, but there are sources as mentioned before in this article indicate that would be a total death toll up to 50,000. Do you think the innocent victims who died will be able to rest in peace? Perhaps they had died of no reason. They didn't know why they were chosen to be massacred, and surely they would not like to see their fact of death had been quietly covered up, forever...

Starting from Punggol Point where a memorial plaque was laid by NHB in 1995, we walked along the beach feeling the environment. Quiet and nature as it was next to a strait facing the new town of Johor in the north. A vacant beach of fine sand would be the first sight just after we have walked opposite from the jetty. On the sand, there seemed to be many more paw prints than foot prints as this portion of inland beach looked pretty deserted. A little dense bush in the south set the boundary of the beach. Just outside of the bush, there was a sign post and a boom gate installed by the Government marking the inland beach as a State land.

Roughly we could resemble this area as a part of the execution ground 60 years ago. Some accounts described here as a disposal land of countless corpses that were everywhere as far as eyes can see. Burial work was threatened to stop by the Japanese and the whole area including the bus terminus was announced to be a restricted zone. Hence the bodies were mostly "cleaned" up the wild dogs who lived in the bush. To our surprise, 60 years later as of today, there still lived so many dogs around as suggested by the numerous paw prints on the sand!

At the most west end of the beach, a fence was erected to separate the main road (where the bus terminus was) and the beach. Right in the middle of the fence placed a small "temple" (or shrine) painted in red-color and made of wooden boards. This is quite an uncommon sight as a small shrine having more than just the Earth God was put at this rural area. It looked as if the shrine was hastily setup for some urgent purposes ( click here to see the photo , don worry its nth scary )

On the shore of wet sand near the strait, there is a very important sign that may go unnoticed by the public. By comparing to the photos taken decades ago and what appears as it is now, this stretch of sea shore was used to be a sandy beach, just like the inland area. According to the historical records, this is exactly where the massacre took place killing thousands of Chinese men during the Operation Clean-up. The victims were shot and bayoneted so near to the sea because the bodies would be washed off by the sea wave easily in high tide, as intended by the Japanese to keep the massacre secret. Nowadays this area running along the full skirt of the beach has got artificially covered up by many boulders. In some photos, you can see the covering is so artificially until the beach was paved so symmetrically and so levelly in steps. This project should have cost certain amount of money - not a small sum. And you don't see any other beach in Singapore was done up like that. Is this a coincidence of a designer's idea in a environmental beautifying program or a Government conspiracy to cover up something?

We have collected an evidence of timing. Look at the last photo , on which sprayed a date - 22-9-2000. We assume that is the completion date of the beach reconstruction project. The news about a fisherman digging earthworms found instead skeletons was reported on 10-2-1998. So possibly, after the news, from the time that the Government decided to remedy on this area to the completion of this project, it took about 1.5 year. This is approximately the right amount of time taken for such scale of beach-paving project according to a civil engineering friend. It consequently shows that covering the beach is due to the fact that skeletons can be found so easily in the depth of earthworms.

On the other hands, if the skeletons were merely disposed less than a meter deep, then why not the Government exhume them all? This obviously relates to the estimate number of how many remains are there. If they were in the range of dozens to hundreds, no problems, the job is still possible. But what if it is more beyond that (thousands or even tens of thousands)? This somehow backs up a belief that a LARGE number of remains are underneath the boulders. Likewise, this belief proves that a very LARGE number of Chinese men had got slaughtered there as a matter of fact. This large figure dissuades any thought of digging over the ground massively.

60 years ago ,this split used to be a favorite killing spot with the victims lined up at the edges and fell down when they got shot is used to dispose of the bodies of the dead..When the high tide comes , they would be washed off into the sea. he spit has now been turned into a concrete drainage

lol... all of a sudden , i jus realised i still have a blog ! haha .. been so lazy nowadays well i guess i just cant help it can it ?

ive been cycling around the north east area these few days .. thats y im posting interesting photos like the crab and someone doing buisness in nature haha ..( well actually i tink is more interesting than keeping on posting ur own pic in rite IT BORES.. =D)

well actually we cycled to to the serangoon river.. saw some ppl fishing over there but we no fishing rod.. so we play skipping stones ( for those suakoo who dono , skipping stones is when u trow the stone onto the surface of the water , the stone skips )

i tink im pro. i can skip 6 times ! wahaha song bo teck the most oni 3 time ! lol

the next day , tuesday , was actually suppose to study one la.. but stupid teck call me go cycle again ! lol this time we went all the way to the punggol end beach side there..the site where world war 2 actually took place..damm the beach was so polluted.. and i wonder if i was standing on any mass graves or not.. well actually that place is rather peaceful... very perfect for couples to xx down there .. ahha

well anyway if any of u reading this jus happen to want to go , just take bus 82 from punggol serangoon or kovan there and u reach the jetty straight..

1 month no peace ..

how should i start ? hmm ok shall start frm after my training at ajc .. im actually playing vb 2 days after injuring my wrist .. well not so bad.. i can spike and set at ease.. but with a wrist guard of coz.. lol i don wan any long term injury..went to bugis to find ben and ben.. was suppose to see ben do cat walk there one but too bad i went to aj.. so i jus join them for makan.. wanted to see ling wei one but she so fast zhao away .. =( so left me and ben and ben =D
dono which person suggest to go thail spice eat.. well.. not bad lar.. go there makan.. i mean.. the food is good .. but we actually oders 2 super spicy dish.. wtf.... one is tom yam soup and the other is chilli basil minced pork.... so hot.. have to drink so many water.. lol ..
oh yah.. today very sad.. din i mention b4 mildred had gone baq to thailand and i was celebrating over it ? so sad... she appeared again today... =( haiz..... guess OUR peaceful days are over.. T_T she come baq str8 away ask me for her prezzie zzz.. so i jus bought her one pack of jelly bean... =D save time and trouble =D OH GOD.. WHY MUS U DO THIS TO US..... WHY....WE HAD SUCH PEACEFUL DAYS... WHY BRING HER BACK AND SPOIL IT... OH GOD.... PLEASE SAVE US ... well actually to look on the bright side , shes actually not staying for ever , er i guess? at least shes going back after one month ~ yea baby ! hahaha

today is also actually tecksoons bd lol, yesterday was see leng's bd ! lol so me and teck went down after thail spice to punggol there to celebrate their bd.. stupid teck cheep skate buy carrefour cake.. black forest some more... well cant blame la... its economic.. and thus we celebrated their bd.. 11 59 pm was singing bd song for see leng , at 12 mn was singing bd song for teck.. hahaha and that cake.. was 3/4 cream lor.. wtf.. nvm we still ate the bread ... haha.. see leng seems to have gotten a lil skinnier , but still as cute la.. haha

day in sch is as usual.. kinda sucky.. time travelled is more than time studied.

but i like. =D

the fun comes in during eveing time.. wahaha

6 pm : called up kok hong and met him up in mrt

6.30 : reached city hall n met up with ting long fooker es shu and ryan

6.35 : started playing telepathy game with them.. they were amazed..and could never guess out

how es and me got telepathy..wahaha

6.55 : walking towards vitoria concert all..saw one siao guy.. trow bible onto ground and curse

my frens who picked it up for him..shu and gang was victim..ryan picked up for him too...

hope nth happens to them.. that guy mus be a sat**ist..

7.15 : reached vch.. but got problem.. we mus find a way to smuggle tinglong into the theatre..

basically is me fooker and tl no ticket but suddenly 2 xtra pok out.. so me and fooker had

had to smuggle tl in.. lol... every one tot very hard.. but its so simple.. we simply walk out

and pass ticketto tl then we walk in tog.. haha the ticketers had no idea wads going on !

we were so proud of ourselves..

7.30 : finally the choir started singing and we were pratically shouting for junda , victor , nelson,

hong yi and fooker.. haha jus for the sake of fun.. lol..

8.15 : interval finished and we ended up sitting upstairs in the vip seat.. then got one bui bong

come and xia suay us .. lol say we sit on teachers sit.. wtf so paiseh.. lol

8.20 : choir started singing again..we were shouting buibong everywhere.. wahahaha TAN BUI

BONG !!! JIA YOU !!ting long was basically trying to look out for buibongs so he can

suan.. haha

9 15 : yay.. concert finish.. yea baby.. so we decided to go makan.. es go pak tor.. justin also go

pak tor.. so left me tl vitor kok hong ryan and fooker T_T pathetic.. have to go suntec

ta bao burger king then go up to fountain and makan on the floor.. T_T but we had fun!

haha not to mention we kept on singing and evolving the BUI BONG song along the way.

hahaha..

11.00: me and kh took 107 and the rest mrt.. wow the bus din stop for passengers and thus i got

home from suntec to kovan in about 20 min ? thats faster than mrt man.. lol

LESSONS FOR THE DAY

never buy ticked for sch concerts , u can always crash
beware of people who trow bibles around
u can shout anyones name in a group concert . eg choir band . its super fun especially the person not from the group.

beware of buibongs
if u find urself eating burgers at the suntec fountain in the middle of the nite..at least have some frens along too. they will make ur day.
concerts are good places to get some sleep =D

back to study at ajc ?

hmmm went back ajc today.. to train with the peeps ..

suprised to find zheng guang there also..

chua see me go very happy coz juz nice can 6 v 6 ...

i keep on hitting balls to 2nd floor..ting long and justin also..

tinlong really improve alot ... on the fact that he is jus a noob a few months ago when i saw him...

now can hit 2nd floor i nth tosay le..

but my frequency of hitting to 2nd floor is most... bahaha

some how i feel like hitting to 2nd floor is nth much to be shiok about le.. common to me ..

but whats shiok is i can always suan junda...on the fact that he is taller than me ..

but he cant get the ball up to 2nd floor.. wad a weakling.. somemore he play so long le..

my back kinda hurt from falling around the place especially with that sunburn..

i hurt my 2 elbows.. my right hip muscle got some problem but i dono why.. my pelvis seem like also got problem.. then my knee too..

praticcally i tink my whole body is so torn and battered...

scars here and there..

like a soldier after a war going for another war..

after training fin and when chua toking to the team... me and zheng guang happen to chit chat..

he asked me why i don wan stay..

and pratically coz i have reasons rite..

saturday slept till 3pm.. then cheong w11 with cousin till 5 pm..

by then i realised i was zzzingly late for my work. so i cheong cheong bathe and etc then rush down..

heng can jus reach on time., =D

at work there , teck soon keep toking bout porn and prawn.. lol

chuan wei keep on washing glasses .. haha

then not bad on that day.. got 2 pretty gers come makan .. lol..

1 super good figure. =x the other super good features .... omg i melted when she say ty to me.. lol

time seemed to passed so fast then...

after work done me and ts went to makan at kopitiam.. tmd buy the 12 piece of wanton mus wait for so long $%^&*( super du lan..

by 11 plus like that i made my way down to sentosa to find my class mates who tonning there..

the taxi driver overshot... so i have to walk back by quite alot..

reach liao found out they gona play water bomb...heng i din change and play with them then.. lol if not very ma fan.. must bathe and everything

i took bus no. 80 home and the journey is 1 hr ..

i had such a nice sleep.. one stupid i****n guy come and tmd sit beside me.. kajiao my peaceful sleep (*&^%$%^&8 then after some time he move to sit behind me.. wtf! sit behind still nvm... but he kpkb with his fren .. tmd.......

reach home was supposeto go bball with them one.. but sian diao.. haha over slept even with alarm..so din go.

finally the week has reached its ends , thats y we call it weekends.. haha
was supposed to wake up at 6 am .. but wa call and call.. i jus cant seem to have heard it.. and the alarm too.. so i overslept ! till 8 am ! haha ..basically im trying to say that im late for lesson..
well bo bian.. nex week the most i make up lesson nia.. very sing nang...

finall lms lessons ended today. song boh.
cant believed i stayed back in sch for 6 hrs jus to study b stats..
although i cok up the test even i got study.. haha but nvm .. the important one is the exam. i take as go market makan can liao. bahahaha

sch ended then went home.. makan makan..
today dono why i makan something nice..
the meat nice nice one like duck like pork but i dono wad..
but who cares rite? its good food.. soi had second serving..
but wtf .. my mom come tell me is pig's tongue !!!!!
arghgh spoil my appetite!! imagine my tongue lah jee with the pig tongue! omggg
but in the end who cares... its good food ! =D

my cousin in da house again.. which means holiday is here.. lol er.. for them lah..

yea man finally after some days im going to blog again.. been so lazy nowadays so ill jus summ up wad happen

finally i got my new phone ! wahaha nokia 6670 . i tink its cool !
picked saga seed with benny . found out the secret place locked up ! wtf ! nex time imma bring my drill !
intro teck soon to thai spice to work. hes in.
im waiting for mildred to go back.. so i can go work there =D
finished my cip presentation on monday ! yay last project done . we tried to shoot clement with loads of qns but he is so genius can answer all..
tuesday ob was allright. the presentation kinda bored. as usual its those who presenting =x
wed. sch kinda allrgiht.. have to wait to 5 plus to go down to ajc to play frenly...it was like a gang 20 +++ of us went down ? including club members of coz.. they play quite well.. if they train more i tink npvb is gonna pawn..es say i changed liao.. he say i play less aggressive.. guess its true .. since din play for so long.. but when the time comes i will still burn with fire he also say my hair very kim.. finally gave my packet of ciggs frm mildred to junyuan.. he see me giv him ciggs super happy.. but he say lao hong already coz i kept for 3 days liao... he s such a smokerholic.. after match went to makan with them.. played stupid games with them n i found it sibei geyan when they huh ? how come ? huh ? again again.! haha it went on to the kopitiam and after their lunch .. es finally figured out the number game after like 1 hr plus ? hoho.. so geyan to see him " huh ? how come ? again again" and with that blur look on his face.. me jus and ting long luff till bth..on my way home i invented new one.. nex time not gona be so ez ! wwahahaha 1 oclock..2 o clock.. 10 o clock. "ES if u reading this , tell me the time ! " hahah

it all started with 3 piece of kosong prata and 1 piece of cheesy eggy prata which i tabao frm outside xms at 11 pm in the middle of the nite..

reach home at about 12 plus.. then start to cheong study microecons test the nex day,,

eat eat study,, then someone come kajiao me.. stupid deee.. zzz and her little problem too.. zzz

nevertheless i help her settle ...

so i continue to study ... 3 plus.. canot tahan.. i fell asleep..

sian...

haven study fin fell asleep liao.. i was thinking of ton the whole nite.. but the alcohol and the prata seems like has got its spells on me... besides my activities in sch is so many so many..

and thus i overslept.. all the waytill 9 am inthe morning..
